GGF Southeast Networking Event – Thursday 9 July 2026
The GGF Southeast Networking Event returned to Lingfield Park Hotel and Golf Resort, Surrey, on Thursday 9 July 2026, delivering another memorable day of networking, friendly competition, and industry camaraderie.
With temperatures soaring to an incredible 36°C, it was certainly one of the hottest events in recent memory. The sunshine was relentless, making sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water essential companions throughout the day.
Despite the challenging conditions, the event attracted an impressive 40 attendees across both the golf tournament and the Afternoon Tea, making it the best-attended Southeast networking event for several years.
A special mention goes to Darrell Williams and Paul Miller, who spent much of the day tirelessly driving around the course in a golf buggy, ensuring players stayed hydrated by distributing bottles of water throughout the afternoon. Their efforts were instrumental in helping everyone remain safe and comfortable in the extreme heat.
The determination shown by all the golfers was remarkable. Completing the course in such demanding conditions was an achievement in itself, with particular praise reserved for Kev Jones’ team, who impressively chose to walk the entire course despite the intense heat.
The day concluded with a well-earned prize presentation, celebrating some excellent performances and rounding off what was a thoroughly enjoyable event for everyone involved.
The GGF would like to extend its sincere thanks to all those who attended, supported, and helped organise the day. The fantastic turnout, great spirit, and willingness of everyone to embrace the conditions made the event a tremendous success, and we look forward to welcoming even more members to future Southeast networking events.
