Why the GGF Online Learning Platform Matters

By Chris Ferris

Our industry continues to evolve with new standards and regulations to produce better products and work safer. And to do so it is imperative for us all to keep up to date with these changes to facilitate this. Accessibility to relevant and practical training has come far already with initiatives such a Skilled Pathways, collaboration with Total Support Training and Fire Door Maintenance, but more options for resources focusing on fenestration specific practices is a driving focus on what we aim to supplement. Both in person and on demand.

In 2024, The GGF Online Learning Platform launched with an initial focus on installers and was designed to meet needs of the those who work under SSIP related schemes to show continued professional development with site safety and installation practices.

Now with potential legislative changes proposed in the White Paper for Construction Product Reform, there is a greater expectation across the whole supply chain for product information. Our initial focus was for resources to aid the development of installers and annual refresher courses, but in response to the White Paper, we have expedited courses working with GGF members in manufacturing and fabrication. These resources will aid to display best practice and will offer value to other professionals in specification and sales as well.
